Neuro-affirming counselling in Canberra

Neuro-affirming counselling in Canberra at Turner or anywhere in Australia online.

I offer a warm, neuro-affirming space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace, with a focus on authenticity, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

  • Person-centred, collaborative approach
  • Neurodivergent-affirming (ADHD, autism, late-diagnosed adults)
  • Support with overwhelm, burnout, identity, and life transitions
  • Trauma-informed
  • Inclusive, respectful space for all identities

You don’t have to hold it all together here.

‘Out there’, things might look fine on the surface (or maybe the cracks are beginning to show). You’re managing work, family, your myriad responsibilities but, on the inside you’re perpetually exhausted, feeling adrift or unfulfilled, or your inner critic is in overdrive.

Perhaps something has shifted recently… A diagnosis. A life transition. A growing sense that the way you’ve always coped is no longer sustainable.

Counselling offers space to pause, reflect, and understand yourself more clearly. Ultimately, counselling can help you find more self-compassion and deeper self-understanding so that you can live a more balanced, contented and rewarding life.

As a Masters-qualified counsellor registered with the ACA, with a particular interest in neurodivergence, I am here to support you when you are just not sure how much longer you can hold it all together.

Support for Neurodivergent Adults & Adolescents

I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent adults and adolescents, especially those who are newly diagnosed (or self-identifying) or exploring suspected neurodivergence.

Many of my clients come to see me after receiving a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD in adulthood, sometimes after unsatisfactory experiences with practitioners who just didn’t ‘get it’.

My neuro-affirming practice is firmly grounded in the belief that neurodivergences such as ADHD and Autism are simply natural variations of the human brain and I value the uniqueness that makes you the amazing human you are.

But, years of struggling to operate successfully in a neurotypical world takes it toll and perfectionism, burnout, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem are often the results. If this sounds like you, learn more about my approach to neurodivergent counselling in Canberra or online here.

My Services

Counsellor in Canberra

Neurodivergent or neurotypical, we can all sometimes do with a little support and I can help you if you are seeking support for:

  • Persistent self-doubt and a harsh inner critic
  • Anxiety and overthinking
  • Low mood, burnout and exhaustion
  • Life transitions, loss and grief
  • Relationship and communication struggles
  • Questioning or exploring your identity
  • Feeling stuck, dissatisfied or lost

You do not need a diagnosis or a clear explanation to begin. Sometimes it simply starts with

“I can’t keep going this way. Something’s got to change!”

My life is deeply rooted in my values and the core values that I bring to my counselling practice are authenticity, compassion, connection and common humanity. You will be accepted, respected and cared for.
